Prudy Kinsel

Prudence was born in Toledo Ohio, moved to
Alpena Michigan at the age of 10, and now resides with her husband in La
Vernia Tx. As a young women she used her creative gifts to decorate windows
at local boutiques. She then received a Bachelor of Arts from Aquinas
College in Grand Rapids. While teaching school, she pursued her desire to
create art classes and workshops. She attended watercolor classes at Adam
State College in Colorado. Prudence has experimented in many mediums, but
now concentrates mainly on watercolor. Her paintings have been featured in
several galleries, and she has won awards at shows she has entered.
Prudence
has retired from teaching and now is able to paint full time. Her paintings
reflect her love of the beauty of nature. She claims that a quote from Monet
should have been hers when he said “I perhaps owe having become a painter to
flowers. “
