Born in Kansas City, Kansas. and raised in Topeka, Kansas, I have spent the past 30 years in Texas. I have had a love of all art forms from an early age. Having studied the techniques of watercolor, oils, acrylics, and printing, as well as collage and weaving, I have settled into my main love of watercolor and acrylics. I have studied with very talented teachers such as Louise Cadillac, Al Brouilette, Carrie Burns Brown, Catherine Chang Lui, and Alex Powers to name only a few. Subject matters are varied, but the style is humorous, quirky, extremely bold, with a vivid use of primary colors. The style looks simple but is actually multiple layers of acrylic paint. |
